C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 10 (CXCL10) is a protein that is encoded by the CXCL10 gene. It is a small cytokine that belongs to the CXC chemokine family. When stimulated by IFN-γ, monocytes, endothelial cells and fibroblasts secrete CXCL10.
The protein has been attributed to several roles, such as chemoattraction for monocytes/macrophages, T cells, NK cells, and dendritic cells, and the promotion of T cell adhesion to endothelial cells.
